as we parent, there are many things we want to hold tight to and not let go of when it comes to raising our kids. It’s easy to get caught up in caring for our children by always helping and holding on, but sometimes what our kids need is a chance to try and fail and feel some freedom. What are the things that are safe to let go? What are the thing you shouldn’t let go of as a parent? Here are 48 ideas for “letting go” and 12 things you should never let go. I put these together as a resource for our Heart of Mom Gathering events and want to share them with you here as well.
“I wait for The Lord, my soul does wait, and in His Word do I hope. My soul waits for The Lord more than the watchmen for the morning; indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning” Psalm 130:5-6.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” Psalm 27:1
“Make me know Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are The God of my salvation; for You I wait all the day”Psalm 25:4-5.
“For dogs have surrounded me; a band of evildoers has encompassed me; they pierced my hands and my feet ” (Psalm 22:16).
Eight hundred years before the cruel and brutal Assyrians and Romans began to sentence men to the historical crucifixion where metal nails would be driven into a man’s hands and feet to impale him to a Cross until he had cried out his exhaustive scream of pain and anguish, David prophesied the death of our Shepherd in graphic detail.
